States Invoking 10th Amendment/State’s Sovereignty

Posted by wordforit on March 4, 2009

Update: A page to include for clarity with a map of which states have a bill and which are in the planning stage, videos and several articles regarding State’s Rights. Let’s see where this goes!

Resource Page: State’s Rights and Sovereignty

Whatever it takes to avoid being ruled by tyrants, so be it.

I invite you to read the article at InfoWars.com and please click on the links provided for further understanding. Our best defense, in the carnal sense, is to be armed with knowledge of what goes on around us and what our rights are as American Citizens. We need to stand for personal liberties and state’s rights, now or never! The globalists do not want us to have individualism and think for ourselves. Radio chipped driver’s license, anyone?  Thank God for those who keep sounding the alarm!

Obama’s plans for a federal handgun license, ‘hate crimes’ laws to regulate Christians’ speech about their own religious beliefs on homosexuality, President Obama’s youth corps for mandatory public service and the so-called ‘Fairness Doctrine’ to ‘balance’ talk radio have New Hampshire Lawmakers telling Obama to basically grow up and get some better ideas,” writes Jake Jones. “They say that if Obama’s plans are implimented, it would constitute a nullification of the Constitution for the United States.”

[. . .]As Obama and Congress further extend the dictatorial reach of the federal government – under the control of a small cotorie of globalists and international bankers – we can expect more states to assert their rights under the Constitution and the Tenth Amendment.”

Continue to see if your state is inclined to reject tyranny!

~~~~~~~~~~
Regarding Christian beliefs about homosexuality or any other issue that haunts us today: Several years ago I declined membership in an organization promoting the Bible as a curriculum in public schools. After prayer and consideration of all encompassing possibilities, I knew it would require that other religion’s doctrines be included and beleived it was something else that would be convoluted, therewith creating greater confusion. God is not the author oif confusion (1Corinthians 14:33).
The last time I checked, the Bible was being taught as a history lesson is some state districts and I often wonder. . .  by whom is the lesson prepared and presented? Pagans must be overjoyed as one of their favorite claims is that the Bible is a relic or “just a history book”. . . That is my most potent contention against anything that is forced indoctrination via a ‘Fairness Doctrine’ and all the other names under which it’s currently disguised.
As you know, we cannot follow closely enough to keep up with all the destructive fireballs being thrown, therefore, be vigilant to pray without ceasing  (1Thessalonians 5:17) !
(Pre-response to commenters who think to leave something about feeling sorry for my child(ren) and how awful it must be for them [an insulting assumption to start—what if I’m childless? But lecture me, they try!]: Whatever I allow I am condoning and implicitly giving my stamp of approval. I also would not allow in my home pornography, horror movies, Harry Potter, and anything else I am aware will be the same as inviting evil. Please try many hours of Bible study and communion with God through Jesus Christ before you feel equipped to impose your accusations and “enlightenment” on Christians. If you truly begin with a humble heart, which (humble) seems to be the hesitance, you will begin to see through God’s eyes. I am not here to argue over empty and vain philosophies and implore all to read God’s love letter to hunanity, The Bible. Colossians 2:8 ~”Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments [elements] of the world, and not after Christ.” )
LectLaw’s Legal Definition of Tenth Amendment:
The Tenth Amendment provides that ” The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. ” U.S. Const. amend. X. As a textual matter, therefore, the Tenth Amendment “states but a truism that all is retained which has not been surrendered.” United States v. Darby, 312 U.S. 100, 124 (1941). By its terms, the Amendment does not purport to limit the commerce power or any other enumerated power of Congress.
In recent years, however, the Tenth Amendment has been interpreted “to encompass any implied constitutional limitation on Congress’ authority to regulate state activities, whether grounded in the Tenth Amendment itself or in principles of federalism derived generally from the Constitution.” South Carolina v. Baker, 485 U.S. 505, 511 n.5 (1988). Thus, “the Tenth Amendment confirms that the power of the Federal Government is subject to limits that may, in a given instance, reserve power to the States.” New York v. United States, 505 U.S. 144, 157 (1992).
There are numbers of ways in which the federal government is permitted to secure the assistance of state authorities in achieving federal legislative goals. . .
RDRR: Obama’s standup routine
Posted by wordforit on February 11, 2009
In honor of my mother, I will first say something nice about Obama: at least he presents a vocabulary lesson. That’s it. I’m all in for nice things to say about someone who already thinks too highly of himself.
Doubtful that it has ever happened, or ever will again, that one candidate repeatedly Renounced, Denounced, Repudiated and Rejected close associates and the statements that sounded out their ignorance. One more R with a word for it: Renege, which is already manifesting, leaving us with RDRR. . . R. We may as well smirk; the dynamics are in place and we are going to see more handouts than ever imagined for any reason ever imagined. I pray that Christians are settled in their minds that, although we have work to accomplish, we are just passing through.
Proverbs 29: 2~ When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.
Note: Check out final link to see associates from whom Obama did not disassociate. “Creepy” is in the air. . .
Stephen Spruiell & Kevin Williamson, over at National Review put together an outstanding ‘exposition’ regarding the stimulus package: 50 De-Stimulating Facts, Chapter and Verse on a Bad Bill.  (all links-new window.WFI)
Excerpt:
“. . .The easiest targets in the stimulus bill are the ones that were clearly thrown in as a sop to one liberal cause or another, even though the proposed spending would have little to no stimulative effect. The National Endowment for the Arts, for example, is in line for $50 million, increasing its total budget by a third. The unemployed can fill their days attending abstract-film festivals and sitar concerts.
. . .Of course, it wouldn’t be a liberal wish list if it didn’t include something for ACORN, and sure enough, there is $5.2 billion for community-development block grants and “neighborhood stabilization activities,” which ACORN is eligible to apply for. Finally, the bill allocates $650 million for activities related to the switch from analog to digital TV, including $90 million to educate “vulnerable populations” that they need to go out and get their converter boxes or lose their TV signals. Obviously, this is stimulative stuff: Any economist will tell you that you can’t get higher productivity and economic growth without access to reruns of Family Feud. . . “
Some say it’s the work of the teleprompter when he articulates well, and there are more pauses and stuttering when he tries to ad lib, but after reading a 67 page> PDF report on hypnotism, I believe every move he makes, or does not make, is purposeful.
HT: Devvy Kidd, NewsWithViews (new window: No, We Don’t Have a New President)
Excerpt:
“. . .However, a very small percentage of the population actually study subconscious manipulation of not only how people feel about them, but how to manipulate and alter the beliefs we usually come to by our rational judgment, reason, and experience. These people study specifically how to sideline this rational judgment, reason, and experience, and natural feelings, and bend people’s feelings and will through the application of this branch of psychiatry to their interactions.
Obama is an expert at this type of artificial manipulation. His ability to convince rationally and any natural “charm” is only part of how a person feels about Obama. . . .”
******************
Obama grasped the lessons on ‘word placement’, causing many to consider him intelligent. We used to call it razzle-dazzle, among other euphemisms, but ‘somehow’ he bypasses the manure detectors. I wonder if a lot of the cultees don’t understand the semantics, except for the parts that sound like ‘free’. As the saying goes, “You cannot fool all of the people all of the time. . . “.
Devious is not intelligence, as I have heard relayed to actions of others because they prosper or ‘get-over’ through means which would burden most of us with a guilty conscience. Devious is dishonest, with Obama at the top, for the time being. Like satan, he will find himself displaced without turning to the only true friend any of us have, Jesus Christ. If Obama was even a ‘good man’, regardless of his belief system, he would have put the brakes on the profoundly offensive messiah-speak long ago. He thinks to pontificate about everything except what’s important! As it is, there is no way he believes Jesus is the Messiah or the Holy Spirit would be able to suggest conviction in his heart. It’s very, very easy to see through Obama if you’re truly praying for discernment with all agendas turned off.
Les Kinsolving has an article on WorldNetDaily.com (linked below) about how questions are fielded that will be asked before a presidential speaking engagement. As I waited for something, anything, to come on TV besides ObieOne, Charlie Gibson was out of his mind Monday night (2-09-09) when he said that Obama “answered 13 questions in detail and seemed to use each as an opportunity to teach”. C’mon, Charlie! Are Americans really thought to be that stupid? It’s not stupidity that causes us to be duped, it’s that infamous ‘tolerance’. Or, as G.W. Bush is attributed with saying, “ You can fool some of the people all the time, and those are the ones you want to concentrate on. ”
I have read several times that viewers noticed Obama looking at notes before calling on reporters, as in “roll call”. LKinsolving tells us why!
Will Obama hold ‘fixed’ press conferences?   Les Kinsolving
Excerpt:
“. . .The press corps, most of us, don’t even bother raising our hands any more to ask questions because Obama always has before him a list of correspondents who’ve been advised they will be called upon that day. . .”
******************
There is another extraordinary article on WND from Janet Porter. In it she shares an e-mail which asserts that Obama was groomed by communists from the start to become POTUS. It has been my contention, and many others believe as I do, that there are powerful forces at work to put such nonsense in our White House .JPorter states that she did not share the e-mail before now because it seemed so extreme, and it does, but I am not surprised by anything coming from the evil of power trips. . .
Socialism Communism scheduled for a vote in Senate   Janet Porter
Excerpt:
“. . .Yes, it is true. This is not some idle talk. He is already born, and he is educated and being groomed to be president right now. You will be impressed to know that he has gone to the best schools of presidents. He is what you call ‘Ivy League.’ You don’t believe me, but he is real and I even know his name. His name is Barack. His mother is white and American and his father is black from Africa. That’s right, a chocolate baby! And he’s going to be your president.”
. . .She became more and more smug as she presented her stream of detailed knowledge and predictions so matter-of-factly – as though all were foregone conclusions. “It’s all been thought out. His father is not an American black, so he won’t have that social slave stigma. He is intelligent and he is half white and has been raised from the cradle to be an atheist and a Communist. He’s gone to the finest schools. He is being guided every step of the way and he will be irresistible to America. . . .”
******************
Everyone should read the entire article and ask whether it’s feasible. If you come away with other than ‘absolutely’, please go back to more serious research! If you are a Bible-believing Christian, you know that in Luke 4:6 satan bragged to tempt Jesus Christ, saying, “it’s all mine to give to whomever I wish.” Conspiracies are nothing new! I do not believe ObieOne is the final antichrist (no one can yet be certain), but I do believe he is laying out the red carpet. . . pun intended.
RDRR. . . R. What a show.
May God Have Mercy.
Hope Rides Alone
Posted by wordforit on April 27, 2008
SGT. Edmund John Jeffer’s last few words were some of the most touching, inspiring and most truthful words spoken since the tragedy of 9/11 – and our nation went to war.
SGT. Jeffers was a strong soldier and talented writer. He died in Iraq on September 19, 2007.
He was a loving husband, brother and son. His service was more than this country could ever grasp – but the least you can do for the man who sacrificed his life for you … is listen to what he had to say.
                           ********************
Hope Rides Alone
By Eddie Jeffers
I stare out into the darkness from my post, and I watch the city burn to the ground. I smell the familiar smells, I walk through the familiar rubble, and I look at the frightened faces that watch me pass down the streets of their neighborhoods. My nerves hardly rest; my hands are steady on a device that has been given to me from my government for taking the lives of others.
I sweat, and I am tired. My back aches from the loads I carry. Young American boys look to me to direct them in a manner that will someday allow them to see their families s again…and yet, I too, am just a boy…my age not but a few years more e than that of the ones I lead. I am stressed, I am scared, and I am paranoid…because death is everywhere. It waits for me, it calls to me from around street corners and windows, and it is always there.
There are the demons that follow me, and tempt me into thoughts and actions that are not my own…but that are necessary for survival. I’ve made compromises with my humanity. And I am not alone in this. Miles from me are my brethren in this world, who walk in the same streets… who feel the same things, whether they admit to it or not.
And to think, I volunteered for this…
And I am ignorant to the rest of the world…or so I thought.
But even thousands of miles away, in Ramadi, Iraq, the cries and screams and complaints of the ungrateful reach me. In a year, I will be thrust back into society from a life and mentality that doesn’t fit your average man. And then, I will be alone. And then, I will walk down the streets of America, and see the yellow ribbon stickers on the cars of the same people who compare our President to Hitler.
I will watch the television and watch the Cindy Sheehans, and the Al Frankens, and the rest of the ignorant sheep of America spout off their mouths about a subject they know nothing about. It is their right, however, and it is a right that is defended by hundreds of thousands of boys and girls scattered across the world, far from home. I use the word boys and girls, because that’s what they are. In the Army, the average age of the infantryman is nineteen years old.  The average rank of soldiers killed in action is Private First Class.
People like Cindy Sheehan are ignorant. Not just to this war, but to the results of their idiotic ramblings, or at least I hope they are. They don’t realize its effects on this war. In this war, there are no Geneva Conventions, no cease-fires. Medics and Chaplains are not spared from the enemy’s brutality because it’s against the rules. I can only imagine the horrors a military Chaplain would experience at the hands of the enemy.
The enemy slinks in the shadows and fights a coward’s war against us. It is effective though, as many men and women have died since the start of this war. And the memory of their service to America  is tainted by the inconsiderate remarks on our nation’s news outlets. And every day, the enemy changes…only now, the enemy is becoming something new. The enemy is transitioning from the Muslim extremists to Americans. The enemy is becoming the very people whom we defend with our lives. And they do not realize it.
But in denouncing our actions, denouncing our leaders, denouncing the war we live and fight, they are isolating the military from society…and they are becoming our enemy.
Democrats and peace activists like to toss the word ‘quagmire’ around and compare this war to Vietnam. In a way they are right, this war is becoming like Vietnam. Not the actual war, but in the isolation of country and military. America is not a nation at war; they are a nation with its military at war. Like it or not, we are here, some of us for our second, or third time,    some, even for their fourth and so on. Americans are so concerned now with politics that it is interfering with our war.
Terrorists cut the heads off American citizens on the Internet…and there is no outrage, but an American soldier kills an Iraqi in the midst of battle, and there are investigations, and sometimes soldiers are even jailed…for doing their job.
It is absolutely sickening to me to think our country has come to this. Why are we so obsessed with the bad news? Why will people stop at nothing to be against this war, no matter how much evidence of the good we’ve done is thrown in their face? When is the last time CNN or MSNBC or CBS reported the opening of schools and hospitals in Iraq? Or the leaders of terror cells being detained or killed? It’s all happening, but people will not let up their hatred of Bush. They will ignore the good news, because it just might show people that Bush was right.
America has lost its will to fight. It has lost its will to defend what is right and just in the world. The crazy thing of it all is that the American people have not even been asked to sacrifice a single thing. It’s not like World War Two, where people rationed food, and turned in cars to be made into metal for tanks. The American people have not been asked to sacrifice anything. Unless you are in the military or the family member of a service member, its life as usual…the war doesn’t affect you.
But it affects us. And when it is over, and the troops come home, and they try to piece together what’s left of them after their service…where will the detractors be then? Where will the Cindy Sheehans be to comfort and talk to soldiers and help them sort out the last couple years of their lives, most of which have been spent dodging death and wading through the deaths of their friends? They will be where they always are, somewhere far away, where the horrors of the world can’t touch them. Somewhere where they can complain about things they will never experience in their lifetime; things that the young men and women of America have willingly taken upon their shoulders.
We are the hope of the Iraqi people. They want what everyone else wants in life:  safety, security, somewhere to call home. They want a country that is safe to raise their children in. Not a place where their children will be abducted, raped, and murdered if they do not comply with the terrorists demands. They want to live on, rebuild and prosper. And America has given them the opportunity, but only if we stay true to the cause, and see it to its end. But the country must unite in this endeavor…we cannot place the burden on our military alone.
We must all stand up and fight, whether in uniform or not.  And supporting us is more than sticking yellow ribbon Stickers on your cars. It’s supporting our President, our troops and our cause.
Right now, the burden is all on the American soldiers. Right now, hope rides alone. But it can change, it must change because there is only failure and darkness ahead for us as a country, as a people, if it doesn’t.
Let’s stop all the political nonsense; let’s stop all the bickering; let’s stop all the bad news; and let’s stand and fight!
Eddie’s father, David Jeffers, writes:
I’m not sure how many letters or articles you’ve ever read from the genre of ‘News from the Front,’ but this is one of the best I’ve ever read, including all of America‘s wars. As I was reading this, I forgot that it was my son who had written it. My emotions range from great pride to great sorrow, knowing that my little boy (22 years old) has become this man.
He is my hero. Thank all of you for your prayers for him; he needs them now more than ever. God bless.
Though Eddie is no longer with us, you can help to let his voice be heard, pass this one on.
See also: When Nations Die and pay attention to the parts about losing the will to fight.
“Carthage was once called “the eternal rival of Rome” but its preeminence and impact waned as it “sank into debauchery and dissipation as a result of great wealth and luxury.” Law and order were destroyed from within. Moreover, the rich young men of Carthage no longer wanted to serve in the military so they hired mercenaries to do their fighting. But when the army came into fierce conflict with Rome and other adversaries, the mercenaries ran and left the nation defenseless. Carthage fell to Rome in 146 B.C., and the first act of the Roman legions was to restore law and order.
In these and many other examples, social decay led to the decline and fall of a great civilization. If we are to prevent a repeat of history, then we must learn from these lessons of history. “
