‘Gay’ Sex Kills-‘Day of Silence’ Info

Posted by wordforit on April 25, 2008

It doesn’t make sense. Why are children being introduced to matters in the public schools that do not have an impact on education? Whether parents agree that a gay lifestyle is acceptable, these are still topics that should not be “universal learning”. I know homosexuality is a fact of life for some and that many students think ‘Jerry Springer’ promotes glamour, but keeping the focus on sex has proven to be detrimental.

Sheer insanity, but Matt Barber offers suggestions below with links to “Day of Truth” and others in an effort to counter this latest unGodly grab for our children.

Romans 1:24-27 ~ “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”

2Tomothy 3:16~ “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”

Can you imagine officials at a middle school, junior high or high school setting aside a day to promote “tolerance” for heavy smoking and drinking among children? How about a day where teachers encourage kids to “embrace who they are”, pick up that crack pipe and give it a stiff toke?

Neither can I. The public would go ballistic, and for good reason.

But that hasn’t stopped officials in thousands of schools across the country from promoting other politically correct and socially “in-vogue” behaviors that – both statistically and manifestly – are every bit as dangerous as the aforementioned frowned-upon behaviors.

That’s exactly what the homosexual activist “Day of Silence” is all about – advancing, through clever, feel-good propaganda, full acceptance among children of the homosexual lifestyle.

Just the Facts Ma’am

By recently admitting that “HIV is a gay disease,” Matt Foreman, outgoing Executive Director of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, acknowledged what the medical community has known for decades: the homosexual lifestyle is extremely high-risk and often leads to disease and even death.

In fact, multiple studies have established that homosexual conduct, especially among males, is considerably more hazardous to one’s health than a lifetime of chain smoking.

To the consternation of “gay” activist flat-earthers and homosexual AIDS holocaust deniers everywhere, one such study – conducted by pro-“gay” researchers in Canada – was published in the International Journal of Epidemiology (IJE) in 1997.

While the medical consensus is that smoking knocks from two to 10 years off an individual’s life expectancy, the IJE study found that homosexual conduct shortens the lifespan of “gays” by an astounding “8 to 20 years” – more than twice that of smoking.

“[U]nder even the most liberal assumptions,” concluded the study, “gay and bisexual men in this urban centre are now experiencing a life expectancy similar to that experienced by all men in Canada in the year 1871. …. [L]ife expectancy at age 20 years for gay and bisexual men is 8 to 20 years less than for all men.”

This morose reality makes a strong case for a fitting redefinition of so-called “homophobia,” that being “Homophobia:  The rational fear that ‘gay sex’ will kill you!”

The fact that we don’t have mandatory surgeon general warnings on the side of condom wrappers is a testament to the power and influence wielded by the radical homosexual lobby.  (Warning: Male-male anal sodomy has been proven to shorten your lifespan by up to 20 years.)

Not surprisingly, that same homosexual lobby and its codependent enablers in the mainstream media moved quickly to sweep the IJE study under the rug.  Under tremendous pressure, the researchers who conducted the study even jumped into the political damage control fray issuing a statement which read, “[W]e do not condone the use of our research in a manner that restricts the political or human rights of gay and bisexual men or any other group.”

Yeah, so?

Of course, that’s all just worthless fluff.  All the political spin in the world doesn’t change reality, nor does it eliminate the study’s disturbing conclusions or practical implications.  The research left ZERO wiggle room for anyone who would argue that homosexuality is a “perfectly normal and healthy alternative sexual orientation.”

The risks associated with homosexual conduct are so drastic, in fact, that U.S. health regulations prohibit men who have sex with men (MSM) and women who have had sex with MSM, from even donating blood.

Consider that, according to the Food and Drug Administration, MSM, “have an HIV prevalence 60 times higher than the general population, 800 times higher than first time blood donors and 8,000 times higher than repeat blood donors.”

Adults and children who engage in homosexual conduct, especially males, are also susceptible, at an astronomical rate, to nearly all other forms of sexually transmitted disease (STD).  For example, the Hepatitis B virus is about five to six times more prevalent among “gays,” and Hepatitis C is twice as common.

But perhaps most shocking are today’s syphilis rates among homosexual men and adolescents.  A recent study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that although homosexuals comprise only a fraction of the population (one to two percent), they account for an epidemic 64 percent of all syphilis cases.

The “Day of Silence”

In light of the irrefutable medical facts, it should be considered criminally reckless for educators to teach children that homosexual conduct is a normal, safe and perfectly acceptable alternative form of sexual expression (or “sexual orientation”).

But instead, the “gay” lifestyle is vigorously promoted in our public schools.  Sexually confused children who suffer from gender identity disorder and same-sex attractions are told to “embrace who they are,” and are encouraged to entertain deviant and dangerous sexual temptations.  “But always use a condom!” liberal educators bellow.  (Forget that condoms have a perilously high failure rate and are incapable of preventing numerous STDs such as the HPV virus.)

On April 25, 2008, the pro-homosexual indoctrination of your children comes to a boil.  Homosexual activists and like-minded liberal educators will be pushing the so-called “Day of Silence” on kids in thousands of schools across the country.

The “Day of Silence” (DOS) is organized by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), one of the most militant and well-funded of the powerful homosexual pressure groups.  DOS purports to confront the alleged systematic harassment and bullying of children who self-identify as homosexual, bisexual or “transgender.” (For a sampling of the kinds of things GLSEN teaches children, click here.  Be warned, though.  It’s pretty graphic.)

To be sure, bullying and harassment should not be tolerated against anyone, anywhere for any reason, and those who engage in such activities should be firmly disciplined.  However, DOS has very little to do with “bullying” and has everything to do with propaganda.

During DOS, children and teachers are encouraged to disrupt the school day by refusing to speak, in a show of support to self-described “gay,” “lesbian,” “bisexual” and “transgender” students.  Kids are additionally taught that Biblical truth, which holds that human sexuality is a gift from God shared between husband and wife within the bonds of marriage, is “homophobic,” “hateful” and “discriminatory.”

Our schools are supposed to be places of learning, not places of political indoctrination.  It’s the height of impropriety and cynicism for “gay” activists and school officials to use good-hearted but misguided children as pawns in their attempt to further a deceptive, highly controversial and polarizing political agenda.

DOS is pure, unadulterated propaganda and, based on the medical science, amounts to nothing short of educational malpractice.  With liberal school officials in tow, these militant homosexual activists are brazenly circumventing and abusing parental authority to further this dangerous political agenda.  DOS is also a slap in the face to the many students with traditional moral values.

So, it’s time for the “Day of Silence” to finally live up to its name.  It’s time for these radical adult activists to be silent in our children’s schools.

And you can to do something to help.

At DOS-participating schools all over the country, parents are joining with dozens of pro-family organizations, such as Concerned Women for America (CWA), in a “Day of Silence Walkout.” They’re keeping their kids home from school on DOS as a show of protest.  (For more information visit http://www.missionamerica.com).

Parents and children are also strongly encouraged to participate in the Alliance Defense Fund’s non-disruptive “Day of Truth,” which will follow DOS on Monday, April 28, 2008.  (For more information visit http://www.dayoftruth.org).

Children are impressionable.  Their young minds are fresh clay ready for molding, and these adult homosexual activists know it.  Your child’s spiritual, emotional and physical well-being belongs in your hands, not in the hands of liberal activists and elitist educators with a deceptive and destructive political agenda.

It’s time to shatter the silence with truth.

Just when we were all in agreement about Obama and drinking beer with Hillary, there’s this post. I hope you don’t mind if I respond to it, though I feel daunted. If you believe homosexuality is a “behavior” then it’s hard to have the conversation. Sex is a behavior, but I don’t think being gay is. And being gay is not all about sex. Ask most gay people when they knew, really knew, that they were something not like mom and dad and it’s about the age memory really starts (4 or 5). And if you’re my age, pushing 50, then there was a lifetime of self-doubt and self-loathing you had to endure until one day you met someone you respected and that person was “gay” and there was a name for it. But before that, suicide was a daily companion. “A”s in school, all the accomplishments one would normally be proud of, paled in comparison to this “otherness.” Two things got me past wanting to die in my teens. There were two women across the street from us living together. I have no idea if they were lesbians or not. One was a widow and the other her best friend, a lawyer. All I saw as a 7 year old was that maybe a life where to friends live together is possible. That gave me a scintilla of hope but it didn’t outweigh having constant taunting and bullying from other kids and the teachers. Then I saw a movie with Hal Holbrook and Martin Sheen in about 1976 and they played a gay couple. Nothing explicit. Again, a scintilla of recognition. Still, I dated and married, and being Catholic, I knew whatever I felt inside was “wrong.” At that time though there was a policy of love the sinner, hate the sin. Not a lot of comfort, but something. I had the great fortune to be the student of John Boswell, author of Christianity, Social Tolerance and Homosexuality. It’s a history of gay people from antiguity to the 13th century. Boswell was a practicing Catholic and one of the most profound intellectuals I have ever met. He knew 21 languages! He was also kind, and even though I was married and not “out” he had conversations with me about being gay and Catholic. And over time, slowly, I realized that I could have my faith and be who I am. Today, I am settled into a job as a University professor. Just yesterday a student, who has no idea I am gay, came in to tell me his plans to stop studying theology and go into psychology; he’s very conservative, very anti-abortion. I supervised his senior thesis on John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. And I wondered, if he knew, would it make a difference? Because I know that no matter how much I accomplish, no matter how much I give to students in my 80 hour work week, there are people who, if they know, will look at me as worse than a rapist or a murderer. I have been with my current partner for 17 years, but there are people who assume that every gay person is out there having all kinds of sex, etc. What does this have to do with teaching about homosexuality in schools? Gay kids commit suicide at a very high rate. I know some people will say “Good, fewer of them.” I don’t think any true Christian feels that, but at the same time, when people who have not ever read anything by a gay person about being gay except “conversion narratives” go at gay youths, what happens to that youth is despair. Boswell shows clearly in his book how the early Christians treated same-sex relationships and it wasn’t nearly with the fear and hate we encounter nowadays. I am sorry for making this so long and so biographical. You are free to believe what you want. But if all the gay people in the world were destroyed, as Hitler was certainly trying to do, you’d lose scientists, poets, artists, writers, historians. You’d lose Christians, Jews, Muslims, Bhuddists, Hindus. You’d lose black, white, Native American, Asian. In other words, people you might know, people you might love and you just don’t know this about them yet. Maybe I belong to those liberal activist and elitist educators with a deceptive and destructive political agenda in the eyes of people who fear or hate homosexuality. I can tell you this, it’s not so wonderful being gay that people who aren’t gay are clamoring to do it. I like being gay now because I love my partner, and I love Christ above all things.

    Word Reply~
Huntingdon, you owe me no apologies and I respect your candor (without venom!), even though I still caution you against accepting man’s word over God’s. Every time I post about gay issues, the words ‘fear and hate’ inevitably surface. I usually add a note akin to what you say regarding “hate the sin, not the sinner”, which is something that should apply across the board, not just one aspect of living. “For whatever measure you mete is the measure you will receive.” Matthew 7:1-3 http://www.christnotes.org/bible.php?q=Matthew+7%3A1-3&ver=kjv (that is also the ‘judge not’ verses that have been twisted to make it seem ‘unChristian’ for anyone to discern and warn). If you’re interested, see:

None of us gets thru life w/out being spiritually attacked. I don’t have fear “of”, but fear “for” and hating another person is not part of the equation, although hating the thought of teaching children the opposite of one of the very foundations of Chrisitanity, is most certainly justifiable. This is one of the lies we are cautioned is one of the end times signs.(“as in the days of Noah”. believing a lie for truth”, etc.) and I am compelled to speak in defense of the faith.

Two of my fist cousins are gay and the female has been with her partner, I’m guessing, close to30 years. I can only speculate that they would be in the stage of God giving them over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1:28 http://www.christnotes.org/bible.php?q=Romans+1%3A28&ver=kjv ) b/c He does eventually ‘let go’ when we continue to engage in what He did not design us for. I love my cousins and my heart grieves for them, but it’s not up to me. It’s not about whether I should make your decisions; or whether I am qualified to judge personally, that’s God’s private arena, I’m just a watchman obliged to warn (Ezekiel 33 http://www.christnotes.org/bible.php?q=Ezekiel+33&ver=kjv ). It is, however, about the ones who continually impose what many of us consider a depravity into our everyday lives, especially targeting children (Luke 17:2 http://www.christnotes.org/bible.php?q=Luke+17%3A2&ver=kjv ). I have read and heard all kinds of versions to the point of some stating that the Bible expired, but if I knew you worked in a building that was condemned and said nothing, wouldn’t I be culpable in my silence if you were hurt? According to the many lawsuits for that type of scenario, yes, and that’s aside from a biblical obligation. In the same vein, I am as guilty as the ones keeping the secret/telling the lie by not expressing in some form what scripture teaches regarding homosexuality.

I find it ironic when those who don’t like what Christians say automatically think we’re ignorant or bigoted (not inferring you, H., other commenters). I can assure you, I don’t live under a rock and I didn’t fall off of a turnip truck (I’m not much younger than you, Huffingdon). I have experienced and been exposed to more than I have time or inclination to relay and my conclusions are from living, study, prayer, and walking daily with Jesus. I was not always quick enough to know what scripture teaches and I have not always lived as I should, but, after all my shenanigans, there’s no changing my mind back on things I am certain God intends for righteous living.

Not to be offensive, but we tend to seek what makes us feel better, not God’s will. I have no doubt that you love Christ, and I will leave that between you and Him, but I must advise that He said there would be many who thought they were living for Him to whom He will say, “I never knew you” (Matthew 7:21-23 http://www.christnotes.org/bible.php?q=Matthew+7%3A21-23&ver=kjv ) Just a thought offered in sincere love and concern.

Have you seen the posters advertising the Folsom St. Festivals (SanFran)? And would you approve of a “Jesus look-alike contest” in which Jesus is portrayed in varied sexual contexts? Although you may not have anything to do with such (I’m thinking not), that’s what we should be concerned will become acceptable and continue to permeate if we stay silent. Those are the things we should all be disgusted by, in my understanding of scripture. To denigrate the very Holiness of God’s Son and attempt to bring Him to our level is contemptuous. Those are the “personalities” who have taken center stage and made sexuality prominent when others outside think of the “gay lifestyle”, not Christians. Any way it’s spinned, and however many books are written that condones/justifies things contrary to God’s inspired word, I will never agree with human ideas over the instruction of the Creator.

At the same time, to mention who I think are the most vile and damaging under the guise of Christianity (to my knowledge), the Phelps of Kansas will answer for their hatemongering and scattering, rather than gathering (a tricky step, for sure, in the best of circumstances). To even consider picketing funerals and proclaiming God hates anyone is extraordinarily counter-productive.

It’s not me that anyone will answer to and it’s not up to teachers to make sure students are taught respect for others on such a personal level; I’ve seen teachers go so far as to spend their lunch break trying to teach table manners in the lunchroom, which speaks to a lack of ‘home-training’. Then teachers are hounded for accomplishing more in the classroom when the students are overwhelmed with ideas of finding excuses and topics better left out of the classroom? Moreover, a teacher of any orientation having sex with minor students further complicates the “situation” that is the Government school system. Little by little, the government is telling us what to say and think and we will soon have all good little gov’t robots.

Short answer from my view: Enough with the sex, period, in public schools. To make a further quick point, I do not support teaching Bible studies in Government schools, either.
Please seek answers in God’s word and from Him only. Who else can we trust?

I want only the best for you, Huffingdon, and do not zero in on personal attacks, only the impact on souls. Looks like we have to agree to disagree on this one!

It confounds me why anyone thinks they have a right to EVERYONE’s children? Take your child to church on Sunday and teach them to love everyone but some things are unacceptable to God, then send them to school on Monday to be told everything they heard at church was bigoted lies! I was picked on unmercifully b/c of my coke-bottom-bottle glasses and even though I haven’t worn them in years, I am still that self-conscious little girl to some degree. Others cannot validate me; I have to gain strength from within and, for me, from my relationship with Jesus. Everyone is a victim but we cannot all be accommodated by the government.

Yep, I’m deleting more than I’m approving, once again. Rarely do they know how to approach in a civil manner.
