The Roundtable will examine the efforts of corporations of all sizes to serve those most in need in their communities.  The gathering will bring together Corporate Citizenship Award finalists from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Business Civic Leadership Center and government officials to discuss how businesses are helping people both domestically and internationally.

November 7-9     U.S. Department of Labor Results-Based Management Training, Indianapolis, IN

Seeks to increase the effectiveness and service quality of participating workforce-related faith-based and community organizations (FBCOs) by teaching them to measure, manage, and communicate their results.  Selected FBCOs will participate in one of four three day days workshops and will receive a one-year license to a case management software.

November 16~ Economic Development Administration Presentation of the Excellence in Economic Development Award

Jay Hein will join Sandy Baruah, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development, to present EDA’s Excellence in Economic Development Award for Faith-Based and Community Social Entrepreneurship to Kirbyjon Caldwell’s Pyramid CDC. The award highlights Pyramid CDC’s efforts to advance productive redevelopment strategies in an area of chronic economic distress.
