Word For It. . .

2Chronicles7:14-“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

When I Move, He Moves

Until one is committed
There is hesitancy, the chance to draw back,
Always ineffectiveness.
Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation),
There is one elementary truth,
The ignorance of which kills countless ideas
And splendid plans:
That the moment one definitely commits oneself,
Then Providence moves too.
All sorts of things occur to help one
That would never otherwise have occurred.
A whole stream of events issues from the decision
Raising in one’s favor all manner
Of unforeseen incidents and meetings
And material assistance,
Which no man could have dreamt
Would have come his way.
I have learned a deep respect for one of Goethe’s couplets:
“Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it.
Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.”

I’ve read this before but didn’t know who wrote it. Hmmmm. It gives me some ideas about some things I need to get busy with. By the way, I appreciate the way you’re always researching such a variety of things and sharing them with your readers. The vocabulary words & definitions you give us once in a while are good too.

Thanks, marlajayne! I have things on disc, paper, books, computer files and am always learning sonmething else, just like everyone else! I think in terms of a young person “surfing” b/c of my experiences in the school system. That’s one reason I do the vocabulary but was kinda wondering if that was insulting to readers…hmmm, maybe not…
I like this one for the way it reminds me that when I commit and am doing something for God’s glory, He is right there, nudging things along.

I totally agree. Hesitancy kills! Its only when you tie a knot that whatever happens you are gonna stick to doing what you should, that mountains can move.. All of us struggle in life with different things, but the most important thing in winning through them is just sticking through- Commitment as you say! Thank you Odale, this was a lovely one to read! ( But that’s usual coming from you! ;) )

That is a high compliment, indeed, gypsygirl! Thank you!
I read this a few times and had to know who this author was, etc. The more I read it, the more I appreciated his words of truth and encouragement…no one wants to feel like they’re alone in the struggles!
