States Invoking 10th Amendment/State’s Sovereignty

Posted by wordforit on March 4, 2009

Update: A page to include for clarity with a map of which states have a bill and which are in the planning stage, videos and several articles regarding State’s Rights. Let’s see where this goes!

Resource Page: State’s Rights and Sovereignty

Whatever it takes to avoid being ruled by tyrants, so be it.

I invite you to read the article at InfoWars.com and please click on the links provided for further understanding. Our best defense, in the carnal sense, is to be armed with knowledge of what goes on around us and what our rights are as American Citizens. We need to stand for personal liberties and state’s rights, now or never! The globalists do not want us to have individualism and think for ourselves. Radio chipped driver’s license, anyone?  Thank God for those who keep sounding the alarm!

Obama’s plans for a federal handgun license, ‘hate crimes’ laws to regulate Christians’ speech about their own religious beliefs on homosexuality, President Obama’s youth corps for mandatory public service and the so-called ‘Fairness Doctrine’ to ‘balance’ talk radio have New Hampshire Lawmakers telling Obama to basically grow up and get some better ideas,” writes Jake Jones. “They say that if Obama’s plans are implimented, it would constitute a nullification of the Constitution for the United States.”

[. . .]As Obama and Congress further extend the dictatorial reach of the federal government – under the control of a small cotorie of globalists and international bankers – we can expect more states to assert their rights under the Constitution and the Tenth Amendment.”

Continue to see if your state is inclined to reject tyranny!

~~~~~~~~~~
Regarding Christian beliefs about homosexuality or any other issue that haunts us today: Several years ago I declined membership in an organization promoting the Bible as a curriculum in public schools. After prayer and consideration of all encompassing possibilities, I knew it would require that other religion’s doctrines be included and beleived it was something else that would be convoluted, therewith creating greater confusion. God is not the author oif confusion (1Corinthians 14:33).
The last time I checked, the Bible was being taught as a history lesson is some state districts and I often wonder. . .  by whom is the lesson prepared and presented? Pagans must be overjoyed as one of their favorite claims is that the Bible is a relic or “just a history book”. . . That is my most potent contention against anything that is forced indoctrination via a ‘Fairness Doctrine’ and all the other names under which it’s currently disguised.
As you know, we cannot follow closely enough to keep up with all the destructive fireballs being thrown, therefore, be vigilant to pray without ceasing  (1Thessalonians 5:17) !
(Pre-response to commenters who think to leave something about feeling sorry for my child(ren) and how awful it must be for them [an insulting assumption to start---what if I'm childless? But lecture me, they try!]: Whatever I allow I am condoning and implicitly giving my stamp of approval. I also would not allow in my home pornography, horror movies, Harry Potter, and anything else I am aware will be the same as inviting evil. Please try many hours of Bible study and communion with God through Jesus Christ before you feel equipped to impose your accusations and “enlightenment” on Christians. If you truly begin with a humble heart, which (humble) seems to be the hesitance, you will begin to see through God’s eyes. I am not here to argue over empty and vain philosophies and implore all to read God’s love letter to hunanity, The Bible. Colossians 2:8 ~”Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments [elements] of the world, and not after Christ.” )
LectLaw’s Legal Definition of Tenth Amendment:
The Tenth Amendment provides that ” The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. ” U.S. Const. amend. X. As a textual matter, therefore, the Tenth Amendment “states but a truism that all is retained which has not been surrendered.” United States v. Darby, 312 U.S. 100, 124 (1941). By its terms, the Amendment does not purport to limit the commerce power or any other enumerated power of Congress.
In recent years, however, the Tenth Amendment has been interpreted “to encompass any implied constitutional limitation on Congress’ authority to regulate state activities, whether grounded in the Tenth Amendment itself or in principles of federalism derived generally from the Constitution.” South Carolina v. Baker, 485 U.S. 505, 511 n.5 (1988). Thus, “the Tenth Amendment confirms that the power of the Federal Government is subject to limits that may, in a given instance, reserve power to the States.” New York v. United States, 505 U.S. 144, 157 (1992).
There are numbers of ways in which the federal government is permitted to secure the assistance of state authorities in achieving federal legislative goals. . .
Interceding For Sodom
Posted by wordforit on February 3, 2009
In the past few years, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis, Chapter 19 has been on the minds of many and the subject matter for any number of articles. Rarely, however, have I seen Abraham’s efforts to intercede brought forth.
It isn’t the ability of God that’s hard to accept. Rather, it’s the inability and unwillingness of humans to acknowledge Him in decisions and choices that’s hard to fathom. For those of us who continually seek to know and understand God’s will, Genesis, Chapter 18 is not a surprise.
Three men came to visit Abraham, two of whom were angels with the third being Yahweh himself (v1″And the Lord appeared. . .”; v13- He knew Sarah’s thoughts. Also, cf Judges 13:15-23, Manoah’s experience in not recognizing Yahweh immediately) . The visit concerned the promise that Sarah would bear a child and how she laughed inwardly, thinking how old she was to even consider conceiving a child. We should know by now that Isaac was, indeed, born.
Note: Of the three sent to Abraham, two are the ones we read of as being sent to Sodom to warn Lot (Gen. 18:16-22).
More to the point about Sodom and Gomorrah. In verses 23-33 of chapter 18, Abraham has been made aware of the intention to destroy Sodom. Abraham’s distress was toward the righteous that lived there, including his nephew and family, Lot and his clan.
It’s extraordinary that Abraham pled for the Lord to give that city a chance if fifty righteous individuals could be found living there. Are we consciously and diligently praying for those who are confused, without Salvation ? As the scripture progresses, the number becomes smaller until God agrees to allow the city to survive if only TEN righteous individuals can be found.
Ten righteous individuals to avoid destruction and it could not be accomplished!
Every now and then, I think back to the years spent with early teens in the public school system and how shocked I was by the flagrancy with which students began to display their carnality and extended knowledge of same.
A pattern began to emerge when Jerry Springer aired at noon from a local TV station. A substantive number of students would ask for a pass to the nurse around 11 a.m. so they would be home in time to watch JSpringer. As I realized the game plan, the subject came up one day with a group of seventh graders during “Life Skills” (that’s a whole other topic. Why are the government schools allowed to implement a class teaching what parents should be instilling?).
During the conversation, Jerry Springer’s show was integrated into the lesson by the students as a way of expressing and explaining their worldview. I wonder if JS knows or cares how many lives he has influenced. Several of the students watch that depraved, soul-stealing, gut-wrenchingly sick nonsense with parents and/or parents’ approval. That small group in Small Town, USA made me aware of what future generations will think is acceptable behavior, with the exception of the few who are taught early-on to discern evil. JS is the proverbial tip of the iceberg, and evil is more serious than an easy-to-decide right from wrong in whether to steal a pencil from the teacher.
My thoughts many times would be, “And they’ll be voting in a few years”. Guess what? That would be the very group who are now 18-20 years old! Are they the ones who, having been fed an enormous amount of talk-court show drama, were chanting Na-na-na-na, hey, hey,hey good-bye to President Bush while weeping over and worshipping the one who is claiming entitlement? That would be the one who doesn’t believe in “those obscure verses in Romans” and proclaims that ‘we can set up our own kingdom right here on earth‘.
Who’s going to set up what kingdom?! Are these the ones we’ve been waiting for so that Jesus says, “That’s about enough of that!”? I’m ready, but my heart breaks for the many who aren’t and have become mired in worldly endeavors via corrupt political and religious systems. A Christian cannot and should not separate ‘religion and politics’ in the sense of leaving God out of any facet of life, but what we have witnessed for decades now requires divine intervention like never before!
Just as in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah, many are living riotously rather than righteously. Many are living for revelry rather than live reverently. Many are living in reveries rather than reality. When the trumpet sounds, they will attempt to play a trump card.
Speaking of trump cards, I highly recommend a visit to www.gracethrufaith.com. Jack Kelley has an excellent site with a particularly interesting and admirable approach to reading the Bible. In an article written as if John is ‘telling’ us his revelation, Mr. Kelley allows John to discuss the folk who worship satan as the ‘good guy’ while believing God is the ‘bad guy’, which identifies the blind leading the blind ‘trump card’. Worthy of thought, study, and prayer, I excerpted a section below. http://gracethrufaith.com/the-bible-thru-the-eyes-of-its-writers/the-revelation-story/#more-440
To augment understanding, from a truly Christian perspective, I also implore you to visit www.inplainsite.org, especially their recent addition referencing the background and activities of the Luciferian Doctrine/Lucis Trust, spoken of in the Revelation story on GraceThruFaith. http://www.inplainsite.org/html/alice_bailey_and_lucis_trust.html
Also in the IPS superlatively informative article, we should recognize the international humanitarian and welfare speak becoming so prevalent from many directions. Of course we should look out for others but we should also be wise enough to know when a wolf is disguised as a sheep and when we are thought of as weak sheep being led to slaughter. Wise as serpents, harmless as doves, Matthew 10:16 (if you’ve never read Matthew, Chapter 10, it might clarify a lot of Christianity’s stands.)
We are not in trouble, nor should we fear. We should be praying and seeking God’s providence, as Abraham did, over all that we recognize as ‘The Plan’ in the final struggle between good and evil.
Romans (the non-obscure-unless-you-don’t-like-it book of the Bible) 1:20 is clear that there will not be an excuse for rejecting God’s truth nor for a lackadaisical attitude in professing His eternal power and Godhead.
He has been manifested to each and every one of us, as promised.
The following is John “speaking” about The Revelation (excerpt from chapter 9.Emphasis and links added by WFI):
From: http://gracethrufaith.com/the-bible-thru-the-eyes-of-its-writers/the-revelation-story/#more-440
. . . “You’d think with those demonic locusts attacking only non-believers and 3 billion people being killed from wars and other disasters, that people would be flocking to the Lord in search of comfort and security. But this just didn’t happen, and I’ll tell you why.
There is a belief floating around that’s as old as mankind but in the last days will become a religion that deceives almost everybody. It’s called the Luciferian Doctrine and understanding it helps explain why the world won’t turn to its Creator in this, the worst time in human history. The Luciferian doctrine is named of course after Lucifer, a Latin name that translates “light bearer”, and holds that Lucifer is the good guy trying to enlighten the people of the world in preparation for the spiritual evolution necessary to bring peace to all mankind. According to Luciferian Doctrine our physical evolution is finished and all we need to do now is throw off the bonds of Judeo-Christian thinking to complete our spiritual evolution and enter into the Utopian Era. But Lucifer’s being hindered in all this by the evil Adonai (Hebrew for Lord) Who, along with His followers, is working to thwart Lucifer’s grand plan by requiring everyone to adhere to His reactionary religion, effectively preventing our spiritual evolution. In order for humanity to achieve Utopia those who insist on clinging to their obsolete Judeo- Christian faith have to be eliminated. The Great Tribulation is characterized in Luciferian Doctrine as the evil Adonai’s last great effort to destroy mankind’s “light bearer” and prevent our ascension into Utopia, keeping us in bondage to Him.
Following the church’s disappearance the Truth became pretty scarce on Earth and whole world was deceived into believing the Luciferian Doctrine just as my friend Paul warned would happen (2 Thes. 2:9-12). So naturally, thinking the Lord is the bad guy, they became even more intense in their worship of Lucifer, hoping that he would prevail and bring an end to their suffering. (There is a way that seems right to man, but the end thereof is death … Prov. 14:12) Lucifer, of course, is also widely known as Satan or The Devil.”. . .
From: http://www.inplainsite.org/html/alice_bailey_and_lucis_trust.html
. . .”The Christ?: And who is this ‘Christ’ they look for. The answer becomes very simple when we remember that Theosophy (below [on IPS site]) views Lucifer as one of the
“solar Angels”… advanced beings who, according to Theosophy, descended (thus “the fall”) from Venus to our planet eons ago to ‘help’ man. The descent of these solar Angels was not a fall into sin or disgrace, but rather an act of great sacrifice, as is suggested in the name “Lucifer” which means light-bearer”.
In other words the antichrist.
David Spangler considered one of the founding figures of the modern New Age movement, initially influenced by Bailey, was instrumental in helping establish Findhorn in northern Scotland. His web site [http://davidspangler.com/] says that he has, since 1965, “worked clairvoyantly with a group of non-physical beings from the inner worlds of spirit”. In his book Reflections On The Christ, he portrays Lucifer as a positive influence on man who desires the best for humanity, saying
“Lucifer is literally the angel of experience. Lucifer, then, is neither good or bad in his true essence. He is completely neutral. He is an agent of God’s love acting through evolution.”.
The New Group Of World Servers
IPS (Institute for Planetary Synthesis) [IPS also happens to be the abbreviation for InPlainSite, from where this portion is excerpted.wfi], an organization located in Geneva, has on its site a page called The New Group Of World Servers, which quoting from various Bailey books, says
“These men and women of goodwill must be found and organized and thus discover their numerical potency – for it is there. They must form a world group, standing for right human relations and educating the public in the nature and power of goodwill. They will thus create a world public opinion which will be so forceful and so outspoken on the side of human welfare that leaders, statesmen, politicians, businessmen, and churchmen will be forced to listen and comply. Steadily and regularly, the general public must be taught an internationalism and a world unity which is based on simple goodwill and on cooperative interdependence.” (7)
They then go on to talk of The Ten Seed Groups among whom are Telepathic Communicators, who “are receptive to impression from the Masters and from each other”, Educators in the New Age, who “will work to bring in the new type of education” and Political organizers, whose major objective is “The bringing about of international understanding”. These Ten Seed Groups…
“…are in process of being “esoterically anchored” in the field of the world… to precipitate and further the growth of the Kingdom of God in such a manner that this fifth kingdom in nature may be a tangible, factual and objective occurrence upon the Earth.”. . .
Christian Leaders Betray Christ For World Peace
Posted by wordforit on April 20, 2008
NewsWithViews.com
Once again, leaders from the so-called “church growth movement” are demonstrating for us the Hegelian Dialectic – that transformational Marxist process of compromise and consensus made famous by Georg William Friedreich Hegel which seeks to rid the world of its divisive absolutes in the interest of global peace and unity.
Here’s the formula: Thesis + Antithesis = Synthesis
The Christian Post reported the following in a November 23rd article titled, Christian Leaders Invite Muslims to Love God, Neighbors Together:
Christian leaders across denominational lines responded to the unprecedented open letter signed last month by 138 representative Muslim leaders with their own letter, calling on the two Abrahamic faiths to love God and neighbors together.
The key word here is “together.”
To begin with, nowhere in scripture are Christians instructed to unite with other religions and their deities to do anything. Such a plan doesn’t display a love for God at all, but only a disregard for Him and His only begotten Son.
Among other things, the dialectic process redefines “love” to mean tolerance instead of obedience, and calls Christianity and Islam “Abrahamic faiths” as if the two groups have some moral obligation to unite under a god of common ground.
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” – James 4:4
The Bible is uncompromisingly clear on this issue both in 2nd Corinthians 6:14-17, where we are specifically commanded to not yoke ourselves with unbelievers, and again in Ephesians 5:11, where we are instructed to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness.”
Jesus Himself said: “He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth.” (Matthew 12:30, Luke 11:23)
How then can Christians join Muslims to love God together and not be an abomination before Him? We’re talking about two entirely different “Gods” here – not the same God with differing names. And that’s the big lie hidden in this global agenda. By swapping love letters with Muslims, these “Christian leaders” endeavor to legitimize the illegitimate by setting aside the whole counsel of God for Results & Relationships.
Jesus Christ is not the Son of Allah; and to even imply that He is by claiming to love the same “God” as Muslims is not only being dangerously deceitful – it’s blasphemy!
But that’s what the Hegelian Dialectic does to the Christian faith – it unites opposites and enemies under a guise of goodness – all at the Lord’s expense; and that is and always has been the modus operandi of the “church growth movement” – to mingle the sheep with the goats until they are indistinguishable.
Christianity (thesis) + Islam (antithesis) = One World Religion (synthesis)
It should come as no surprise to the readers of my column [Paul Proctor] that two of the reported signers of this letter who “share the sentiments” of Muslim leaders are none other than pastors Rick Warren of Purpose Driven Life fame, and the seeker-sensitive Bill Hybels from Willow Creek Community Church.
The CP article went on to say:
“Peaceful relations between Muslims and Christians stand as one of the central challenges of this century, and perhaps of the whole present epoch,” wrote the Christian leaders.
I thought the Great Commission was our central challenge as Christians – to love God and our neighbor by faithfully and obediently proclaiming His Gospel – to preach the cross – to call sinners to repentance and faith for the forgiveness of sins through the shed blood of Jesus Christ!
Have we now abandoned that for an ecumenical Plan B to world peace?
“If we can achieve religious peace between these two religious communities, peace in the world will clearly be easier to attain.”
But Jesus said in Matthew 10:34, “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword” which is the Word of God that divides us, not just from the strange fire of other religions, but oftentimes from our own beloved family members.
“For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.” – Matthew 10:35-36
Do Warren and Hybels believe the Bible or not?
You be the judge:
Christian leaders urged for an interfaith dialogue that moves beyond “polite” ecumenical talks between selected leaders. Instead, leaders of both faiths should hold dialogues to build relations that will “reshape” the two communities to “genuinely reflect our common love for God and for one another,” the Christian letter stated.
My, how this bunch loves to re-imagine, re-interpret, re-define, re-envision, re-invent, re-think and re-shape the world to suit them!
“Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.” – Jeremiah 6:16a
You see, they’re not just seeking to shake hands with Muslims on the street, at work or in the grocery store – the objective here is to “hold dialogues to build relations.” That’s the dialectic process I referred to earlier that relieves participants of their divisive absolutes for a compromised collective conscience, resulting in a synthesis of spiritual beliefs that both can embrace together peacefully. (i.e., religious groupthink)
Why do they want to “hold dialogues to build relations?”
To “reshape the two communities” so as to “genuinely reflect our common love for God.”
Which “God” – theirs or ours?
And that’s what this is really all about – systematically merging the two faiths into one through the dialectic process – not merely finding “common ground” or “reflecting” a “common love for God,” but actually creating a common god for the common good.
Who stands to benefit from this?
The coming antichrist, of course.
Kind of gives a whole new meaning to the term “church growth movement,” doesn’t it?
In spite of their seemingly benevolent agenda, Jesus Christ came to offer peace with God – not peace with Allah.
“Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds” – 2nd John 1: 9-11
