The links provided about the New Age teachings of Oprah are some I have been keeping up with and have noticed people are quoting “Jesus” from her “Course in Miracles”. I pray that if you have not read what Marsha West and others are teaching regarding New Age, you will do so. It’s easy to be in an area espoused to New Age without realizing because “it’s all so wonderful and Christ-claiming”.
Another site linked I want to mention is the Last Trumpet Ministries in the footnotes. It is a newsletter by David Meyers that I read every month. He covers world events from a Christian perspective, having a unique insight in recognizing forces as a former occultist, with all the proper citation to find stories for verification.
There is more praise due than I can offer Betty for all of her diligent work, and I am always thrilled to read her memorable chronologies put in context of today. Some of this may shock you!

One meaning of paradigm in my Webster’s Dictionary says, “an example serving as a model: pattern: a paradigm of virtue” and for virtue it says, “conformity of one’s life and conduct to moral and ethical principles: moral excellence: rectitude.” Today, the transforming of our whole society with “change agents” has frequently been referred to as restructuring or a paradigm shift. This gradual shift has been happening in our world for the last 80 years and there is nothing virtuous about it!
One of the earlier “change agents” was Edward L. Bernays, nephew of Sigmund Freud, the father of modern psychology. Freud’s theories were based upon his own personal problems, most of which were sexual perversions. He saw morality as an oppressive neurosis–generating structure imposed by society and organized religion and sexual freedom as paramount for normal mental health. As the Church began to turn from basic Bible doctrine to psychology, Freud was exalted and Jesus dethroned. Jesus became “just another great man” instead of God manifested in human flesh.
Bernays and his colleagues learned how to control public opinion. He described the public as a “herd that needed to be led.” Devvy Kidd’s article “Super Tuesday” – the Herding Technique nailed it beautifully. One of Bernay’s first tests to prove that Americans would believe almost anything if it was repeated often enough was in 1929 at the New York City Easter Parade. Using the Easter Parade stunt to popularize the notion of women smoking cigarettes, Bernays organized the “Torches of Liberty Brigade” in which suffragettes marched in the Parade smoking cigarettes as a mark of women’s liberation. The article said the publicity generated from that one event made women secure about destroying their own lungs in public, the same as men have always done.
Today we are seeing a global paradigm with an emphasis on one-world government, some type of a one-world money system (the dollar is in the toilet) and a political paradigm by a charismatic, eloquent presidential candidate called Barack Obama on “Change.” His own pastor of 20 years admits to preaching liberation theology. A grand old saint and pastor, Dr. J. Vernon McGee (now deceased), says this group has a problem with the Creator destroying what He chooses, such as the Lord Jesus cursing a fig tree (Matt. 21:19) and also destroying a few (demonized) pigs (Matt. 8:30-32) and then these same hypocrites have bacon at breakfast. The contemporary liberal theologians have been stealing the true Word of God out of the hearts of people since the 1960s by preaching a false gospel.
The Schwarz Report also warned about liberation theology in its September 2005 newsletter, “There are believers who come both in secular and religious forms and they think they can take the work of salvation into their own hands. These are all liberation theologians whether they are on the left or the right, and they are extraordinarily dangerous people precisely because they think they are in some ways talking to God or doing his work and if you are doing God’s work, it would justify anything.” Its October 2005 newsletter said “Liberation Theology was the dominant fad in the 1960s and 1970s – a patchwork of ideas that claimed that the Christian obligation to care for the poor was synonymous with Marxist social dogma. Liberation Theology dressed Marxist ideas in the Christian moral lexicon, convincing gullible activists that Christ was really crypto-Marxist. The ideology swept through the religious Left like wildfire and the National Council of Churches was front and center.”[1]
Barack Obama’s 20-year affiliation with his very angry liberation theologian and spiritual adviser is troubling to me. Barack’s name might represent to many of his supporters “None of the Above” anointed two-party candidates. Many of us are disgusted with the “anointed” candidates also; however, number 22 and 31 of The Communist Takeover of America is to discredit and belittle American culture…, 25 break down cultural standards of morality…, 20 and 27 is to infiltrate the press and churches…with “social” religion…, 29 Discredit the American Constitution by calling it old-fashioned. And up until recently the mainline media (with the exception of FOX) has given Obama a free pass.
Then there is Obama’s support by the Queen of TV, New Ager Oprah Winfrey. On 9/11/1997 CBS had a recap of the life of Mike Wallace and one clip showed him asking Oprah about God. She replied, “Oh yes, I love her!” In July 2003, Oprah was the honored guest at African communist Nelson Mandela’s birthday. Robert Biano reported in a Gannett News Service article on 3/1/2008, Oprah’s “Big Give,” which began on March 2, would make her “Queen for a Day” and referred to it as New Age trappings.
Then we have the spiritual paradigm with an emphasis on earth-centered and pantheistic oneness, where God dwells in all persons and that all paths lead to God. Please view this chart for clarification: Former Vice President Al Gore’s “global warming” goal is to get people to buy bicycles, to use mass transit and get rid of their cars. People without cars are limited in their movements and thereby better controlled.
For Christianity to be restructured, writes Roger Oakland in his 2007 book Faith Undone [2] a spiritual paradigm shift of magnificent strength and clever strategy would have to take place. It would have to involve all denominations (unity), and include return to the rituals discarded by Martin Luther during the Protestant Reformation. Roger illustrates how the apostate Christian churches are buying into this “Emerging Church” occult movement. This apostasy is conditioning the Church for the last days about which Jesus and Paul foretold in 1 Tim. 4:1…some shall depart…giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Pastors and the youth are being enticed into the Emerging Church Movement and its adherence to mysticism and various approaches to mystical contemplative prayer, which has taken the Church by storm. In other words, the genuine Word of God is to fit the current changing culture instead of the culture adhering to Bible principles – deeds (works) –vs- creeds (grace).
NewsWithViews.com contributor, Joan Veon, has personally attended and reported on national and international conferences for many years and she said in a 1/14/99 Wisconsin Report the first time she heard the term “paradigm shift” was at a U.N. Social Summit in Copenhagen in March, 1995, when Secretary-General Boutrous-Boutrous Ghali said that change had three steps: profound change, cosmetic change and status quo, but he was offering an alternative: constant change. An 8/22/02 Wisconsin Report told about Soviet Mikhail Gorbachev also speaking of a “new paradigm.”
The first time I heard the word paradigm was in the Oregon Legislature in 1991 when a New York transplant named Vera Katz, like Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama whose mantra is “change,” mysteriously showed up on the political radar screen nearly out of nowhere in 1973. In 1991 she began promoting her Educational Restructuring (Pavlov’s mastery learning). See my article where I note in the article that Katz, then Portland’s mayor, admitted, “Oregon is a Laboratory” and was turning Portland into an “Agent of Change.”
Oregon, the most unchurched state in America, has been known in the past to allow its citizens to become guinea pigs in social “experimentations.” Oregon was quick to jump on board with the Nazi-like eugenics policies started in 1917 and currently, Oregon is the only state to approve physician-assisted suicide — also known as euthanasia or “Death with Dignity.”
It has been speculated that some people have been expected to react in a certain way when given a certain word or phrase, i.e. the Manchurian Candidate, aka as “sleepers.” Donn De Grand Pre` in his book, Barbarians Inside the Gates, says there are “mind-controlled and programmed individuals, some at the highest levels of government.” He says others are created for a single special mission, such as the assassination of a key personality or the takeout of a particularly strong presidential candidate who might be a threat to the power brokers. It should be noted President John F. Kennedy signed Executive Order 11110 on June 4, 1963 that basically stripped the unconstitutional Federal Reserve of its power to loan money to the U.S. Federal government with interest. And a 7/6/1999 Los Angeles Times article indicated the infamous Unabomber, Ted Kaczyniski, worked with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the 1960s and 1970s.
A 1992 Colorado Eagle Forum article illustrated how “centering” is used to reduce stress and induce relaxation in students to enhance their ability to listen and learn. Exercises incorporated in “centering” are deep breathing exercises, muscle relaxation techniques and guided imagery (close your eyes and imagine soft clouds, calm seas, etc.) and when the teacher, in a barely audible voice, speaks the word “focus,” immediately the entire class stops what it is doing and returns to their desks. This is discipline and mind control. The Emergent Church Movement also uses this “centering” mind-altering technique.
DUSO (Developing Understanding of Self and Others) is a friendly little spirit guide who helps the children get in touch with their feelings (psychology). This program, along with the teacher’s manual, instruction sheets and audios, were made available to me from an Oregon schoolteacher in the early 1990s. The audio has soothing, running water in the background as children are instructed to “BE STILL,” empty their minds so they can get in touch with their spirit guide, which the Bible calls a demon. Is this the reason, plus prescribed antidepressant drugs, why many young kids and adults today have suddenly turned into inexplicable monsters?
In Clay County, Florida in 1992, children were being introduced to PUMSY, a dragon hand puppet, who told the children they had three parts to their minds: “Their sparkle minds, their mud minds and their clear minds (a meditative state)…and that their peace came from a clear mind.” One astute little boy raised by Christian parents went home and told his mother “Something weird is going on at school and you aren’t going to like it.” He said he knew it wasn’t right what PUMSY was telling him because he got his peace from God. This little guy had far more discernment than many pastors on pulpits today and other religious leaders who are deceiving congregations with their New Age nonsense in the Emergent Church Growth Movement.

On July 7, 2007, all over the world people gathered again to meditate and give their “energy” back to Mother Earth, which the New Agers claim has been depleted. Apparently “Mother Earth” is experiencing birth pains. And then we have Earth Day every April!Debra Rae has more to say about this in Worldview on Trial.
“Paradigm shifts of this magnitude don’t happen without opposition so to minimize the conflict,” says Berit Kjos, author of the book Brave New Schools, and “U.N leaders and local partners seek the consent of the gullible public (remember Bernay) ‘informed’ with the latest government approved ‘scientific information.’” Disseminating this information involves “Change Agents” in professional and civic organizations, school boards to corporate and church boards, the military, law enforcement, athletic associations, entertainment, governmental agencies and youth organizations which means the old, reliable paradigm of national sovereignty, traditional and Biblical values and long established Constitutional mandates must be transformed while the true goals and methods remain hidden from opposing forces. Like the men of Sodom who were blinded by the angels because of their unbridled lust, and experienced the fiery wrath of God without the ability to see it, such are the vast populations of the nations at this time.[3]
